Frequency Electronics (FEIM) is an aerospace and defense company supplying electronic systems for space and military programs. Freedom analysts recommend a "Buy" rating on the stock: new contracts and the transition of satellite projects to serial production could support a recovery in the share price following its correction. At the current price of $71.59, the upside potential to the $91 price target is approximately 27.1%.
Key Investment Thesis Drivers:
Customers are requesting accelerated deliveries. Under a secure communications program involving a contract for more than 1,000 systems, a customer has requested an increase in monthly production of more than 50%. According to management, multi-satellite constellation projects are also transitioning from technology demonstrations to initial production. This creates opportunities to expand serial deliveries.
New contracts support future revenue. Frequency Electronics announced approximately $12 million in orders for space and defense programs and expects continued cooperation on certain projects. Approximately 65% of its $129 million funded backlog is scheduled for delivery over the next 12 months.
Higher capacity utilization improves profitability. The operating margin reached 22.2%. Analysts note that disciplined contract selection creates favorable conditions for maintaining profitability. However, expenses associated with capacity expansion may temporarily limit further margin growth.
Recovery depends on production capabilities. Following a significant correction, the stock has begun to recover. According to analysts, new orders could provide additional support, but the pace at which they translate into revenue will depend on capacity expansion. The next earnings report will help assess contract execution and margin sustainability.
