Please note: we expect that all restrictions on securities of Russian issuers will remain in force for as long as they are covered by the EU sanctions regime for credit institutions resulting from Articles 5b, 5e and 5f of Council Regulation (EU) No. 833/2014 (as amended) and Articles 1u, 1x and 1y of Council Regulation (EC) 765/2006 (as amended).
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any opinion on whether any of these restrictions may be eased or lifted in the near future. In due course, we will inform you of any alternative custody arrangements through non-credit institutions that may become available, and which may provide greater flexibility in dealing with your assets.
Please also note that the treatment of your assets described above only applies as long as you remain documented as a national of Russia or individual residing in Russia, or any legal entity or organization established in Russia. If your circumstances change, we will be able to document your accounts as being held by a national of an EU Member State or an individual holding a temporary or permanent residence permit in an EU Member State or country that is a member of the EU.
In the EU region or in Switzerland, you may qualify for a lifting of restrictions on assets held in your ER account. In any such case, you are urged to contact us to verify your circumstances and update your residence information.
