Новый генеральный директор Intel (INTC) Лип-Бу Тан несколько лет инвестировал в сотни китайских технологических компаний, включая фирмы, связанные с Народно-освободительной армией Китая, пишет Reuters.


Тан инвестировал не менее $200 млн в сотни китайских фирм с марта 2012 года по декабрь 2024 года. Часть этих вложений, как утверждается, направлялась через его венчурную компанию Walden International, а также через два гонконгских холдинга — Sakarya Limited и Seine Limited. По информации Reuters, как минимум восемь из этих компаний имеют прямую связь с военными структурами КНР, включая подрядчиков и поставщиков вооружённых сил Китая.


Эта информация вызвала обеспокоенность среди инвесторов, особенно с учётом того, что Intel является ключевым подрядчиком Министерства обороны США и производит передовые чипы стратегического назначения. Лип-Бу Тан официально вступил в должность CEO Intel 18 марта 2025 года, сменив временных руководителей — Дэвида Цинснера и Мишель Джонстон Холтхаус, управлявших компанией после ухода Пэта Гелсингера в декабре 2024 года. 


В этом нет никакого нарушения американского законодательства или попытки его обойти, считает ведущий аналитик Freedom Finance Global Наталья Мильчакова. Как сообщает агентство Reuters, которое провело журналистское расследование структуры инвестиций этого фонда за более чем 20 лет, Лип-Бу Тан через этот фонд действовал просто как частный инвестор, и выходил из акций китайских компаний, которые подпадали под санкции США, либо владение которыми могло бы создавать конфликт интересов с корпорациями, где он занимал руководящие должности, поступая полностью в рамках закона и с точки зрения лучших практик корпоративного управления.
