Unilever заплатит $1,5 млрд за бренд мужской косметики Dr Squatch

Британо-нидерландская корпорция Unilever (UL) приобретает популярный американский бренд мужской гигиены Dr Squatch за $1,5 млрд, сообщает Financial Time.

 

Сделка заключена с частной инвестиционной компанией Summit Partners, владеющей брендом. Хотя стороны ранее объявили о соглашении, финансовые условия официально не раскрывались.

 

Компания Dr Squatch, основанная в 2013 году, начинала с производства мыла ручной работы. Сегодня бренд предлагает широкий ассортимент средств личной гигиены для мужчин — от дезодорантов и шампуней до лосьонов и одеколонов. Продукция продается через собственный веб-сайт и в розничных сетях.

 

Dr Squatch приобрёл популярность благодаря вирусным рекламным кампаниям, а также сотрудничеству со знаменитостями. В Unilever отметили, что приобретение дополнит портфель мужской косметики, включающий Axe и Dove Men+Care, и поможет расширить международное присутствие Dr Squatch.

 

Аналитик Freedom Finance Global Владимир Чернов отмечает: покупка Dr Squatch усилит позиции Unilever в быстрорастущем сегменте мужской премиальной косметики. Сделка может поддержать котировки ценных бумаг компании, если бренд сохранит темпы роста на уровне 30–40% в год. Однако высокая цена приобретения (вероятно, более 5x выручки) потребует от Unilever эффективной интеграции для быстрой окупаемости инвестиций, что создаст дополнительные операционные риски.
