Генеральный директор United Airlines (NASDAQ:UAL) Скотт Кирби предупредил 16 октября, что продолжающаяся остановка работы правительства может негативно сказаться на бронировании авиабилетов и выполнении рейсов, если она продолжится.

Шатдаун правительства длится уже третью неделю на фоне политического тупика в вопросе финансирования, усугубляя существующую нехватку авиадиспетчеров и вызывая периодическое замедление воздушного движения в некоторых городах. Более 13 тыс. авиадиспетчеров и 50 тыс. сотрудников Управления транспортной безопасности недавно получили только частичную зарплату, и не получат ее в конце этого месяца, если вопрос о финансировании не будет решен.
