Applied Aerospace & Defense (AADX), a supplier of equipment and components for the space and defense industries, is set to debut on the New York Stock Exchange on June 3. Freedom analysts recommend participating in the offering, projecting a 28% upside potential for the stock, with a target price of $26.8, with the upper limit of the IPO range of $21.
Applied Aerospace & Defense manufactures systems and components for spacecraft, launch vehicles, military aviation, and defense systems. The company serves major U.S. aerospace and defense contractors and operates a production network consisting of 11 facilities with a total area of approximately 1.5 million square feet.
According to Freedom analysts, the key competitive advantage of the company lies in its exposure to multiple high-growth markets. The space economy is projected by the World Economic Forum to reach $1.8 trillion by 2035, while rising defense spending in the U.S. and other countries continues to drive demand for next-generation aviation and defense systems.
Freedom forecasts revenue to increase from $499 million in 2025 to more than $5.1 billion by 2035. Analysts’ confidence is further bolstered by AADX’s portfolio of current contracts worth $1.06 billion and project portfolio worth $3.8 billion.
Another factor in investment attractiveness could be a gradual improvement in business profitability. Analysts expect that after the integration of recent acquisitions and the company's public offering is completed, the company's operating margin will recover and could eventually reach 17%.
The main risk for investors remains the high sensitivity of the company’s valuation to future revenue growth rates and the successful implementation of its acquisition strategy. A slowdown in new contract wins or challenges in integration with acquired assets could put pressure on the company’s financial performance.
Not an individual investment recommendation.
