On August 7, Wendy's (NASDAQ: WEN) reported net income of $32.6 million (17 cents per share) for the second reporting quarter of 2026, compared with $55.1 million (29 cents per share) a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings per share were 18 cents. Revenue for the reporting period rose 1.7% to $570.6 million. The company's global comparable sales fell 6.3%, while comparable sales in the U.S. market declined 7.0%.
Adjusted earnings were previously expected at 16 cents per share on revenue of $557.0 million.
Due to a change in leadership and the launch of a new large-scale business restructuring program, the company fully withdrew its previously published financial guidance for full-year 2026, and also announced that it would cut its quarterly dividend in half to 7 cents per share.
