SpaceX received Golden Dome program contracts worth more than $8 billion

SpaceX received contracts worth more than $8 billion under the Golden Dome program, which accounts for at least a third of the total budget allocated to the project, the Wall Street Journal reported. 

This year, SpaceX received government contracts worth billions of dollars to supply military data-collection satellites and provide rocket launches as part of the program. These contracts were awarded after lawmakers sought to expand opportunities for other contractors in the competition for this work. The Trump administration allowed SpaceX to bypass certain wireless network requirements.
