Freedom Investments clients can now set up regular automatic top-ups of their brokerage account from a bank card. The new feature allows you to predefine the amount, currency, and transfer frequency so funds are credited to the account without having to make the transaction manually each time.
Auto top-up is available in the Freedom Broker app and web platform. The client can choose one of two frequency options: weekly top-up on Mondays or monthly on the 1st. The first top-up takes place immediately after the feature is activated.
The minimum amount per transfer is 500 tenge, 1 US dollar, or 1 euro. The maximum amount is 9,999 US dollars or the equivalent in another available currency.
When topping up from Freedom Bank cards, the fee is 0%. For cards from other banks, the standard fee of 2% applies.
For security, the transfer can only be made from a card belonging to the brokerage account owner. The cardholder and brokerage account owner details must match.
Investment decisions remain with the client
Auto top-up does not mean automatic purchase of securities. The feature is responsible only for transferring funds from a bank card to a brokerage account. Which assets to buy, in what amount, and when to execute trades is determined by the investor independently.
Thus, the new capability helps automate the technical part of regular investing while keeping full control over investment decisions with the client.
The feature can be disabled at any time.
How to activate auto top-up
In the Freedom Broker mobile app, open:
“Menu” → “Requests” → “Cash” → “Recurrent”.
Then specify the currency, amount, and top-up frequency, select or add a bank card, and confirm activation.
In the web platform, the feature is available via:
“Account” → “Cash” → “Recurrents”.
After setting the parameters, you need to submit the order.
