Joby Aviation (NYSE: JOBY) сообщила 18 сентября, что летательный аппарат с её технологией, совершил первый полностью автономный перелет через США.

Компания сообщила, что самолет преодолел расстояние около 5150 км без вмешательства бортового пилота-наблюдателя, включая автономный руление, взлет, полет на крейсерской высоте и посадку, которые контролировались дистанционно.

Компания заявила, что этот полет подтверждает правильность ее концепции интеграции автономной системы в уже сертифицированный самолет с целью расширения масштабов автономной воздушной логистики.
