Developments by Physical Intelligence, backed by Jeff Bezos, could attract major technology companies looking to expand their presence in robotics. This is the view of Freedom analyst Natalia Milchakova. At the same time, in her assessment, it is still premature to speak of sustainable revenues from the startup’s technologies.
Physical Intelligence develops artificial intelligence models that help robots perform physical tasks. The company aims to create a universal software foundation for different types of devices, including robots capable of operating in a household environment. On the business and investor interest in it.

Universal software should simplify robot training
Physical Intelligence’s task is to develop a system that can be applied across different robots, instead of creating separate software for each device.
Such an approach should help robots understand human commands and transfer learned skills across tasks and hardware. However, creating a universal system remains a development goal, not confirmation that any robots can already execute any commands.
Milchakova gives a positive assessment of the startup’s technological direction; one of its co-founders is researcher Sergey Levin. In her view, software for household robots, including humanoids, could become a promising market.
Investor interest does not guarantee commercial success
The main question for Physical Intelligence is how to turn its developments into a sustainable source of revenue. Technological capabilities alone do not yet show how in-demand and profitable the end product will be, Milchakova notes.
For commercial use, the reliability of task execution, hardware compatibility, and the cost of deployment are important. These factors will determine the willingness of robot manufacturers and their customers to pay for the software.
According to the analyst, the participation of well-known investors confirms interest in the area, but does not yet allow conclusions about the business’s future profitability.
Tech giants may be looking for a way into the robotics market
Milchakova allows that the interest from Bezos and investors linked to the largest AI developers is driven by a desire to gain access to robot control technologies.
One possible way to enter this market could be acquiring a stake in a promising startup. At the same time, the analyst views such a scenario as a предположение: there are no confirmed plans to buy Physical Intelligence in the provided comment.
Earlier, Freedom Broker wrote about Amazon’s acquisition of the startup Fauna Robotics. This deal demonstrates major technology companies’ interest in robotics developers, but does not mean there are similar plans with regard to Physical Intelligence.
At the same time, Freedom drew attention to the need to carefully assess the risks of investing in AI companies. Milchakova noted that a more conservative approach helps identify overvalued assets amid strong interest in the sector.
This is not an individual investment recommendation.
