How does margin loan work when transferring currency?

Updated 22.09.2026

Before transferring currency, first check whether you have it in your portfolio and whether you have enough funds.

It is important to understand that the company does not automatically convert the currency without your participation - you need to do this yourself. If you want to transfer funds, for example, dollars, but there is only tenge on the account, you may use tenge as collateral and still transfer dollars. But in this case, you will have a margin debt - in fact a loan from the broker.

It is important to remember: margin loan is your right, not your obligation. When using margin lending (i.e. borrowed funds provided by the Company), you are exposed to market risk. For this, the company charges a commission - 15% per annum in US dollars.

If the margin loan was repaid within one trading day, no commission is charged. You can repay the debt either through currency conversion or by closing some of your open positions.
