The review included Bassett Furniture Industries, Holley, Niagen Bioscience and PBF Energy

Among the most interesting representatives of the small-cap segment, analysts highlighted Bassett Furniture Industries (BSET). The company manufactures and sells home furniture. According to Freedom Broker experts, its appeal is driven by a solid financial position, the absence of debt and the high effectiveness of its cost-optimization program. The target price for BSET shares is $22.

Holley (HLLY) is one of the largest suppliers of components and accessories for car tuning. Analysts note improved operating efficiency, lower costs and a gradual reduction in debt. Holley’s target share price is set at $3.8.

In the biotechnology sector, experts highlighted Niagen Bioscience (NAGE), which develops products for healthy aging and metabolic support. The company’s growth drivers are cited as an expanded product lineup, the development of a telemedicine platform and a scalable business model. The target price for Niagen Bioscience shares is $9.

Rounding out the selection is PBF Energy (PBF), one of the largest independent oil refiners in the U.S. Analysts expect that favorable market conditions, lower debt and the completion of plant modernization will contribute to improved financial results. The target price for PBF Energy shares is $42.

Why small-cap companies deserve attention

Small-cap companies are traditionally considered riskier than large issuers; however, they are precisely the ones that can deliver high growth rates during periods of economic recovery and improving market conditions.

According to Freedom Broker experts, the companies presented in the review have their own growth drivers related to higher operating efficiency, the development of new products, an improved financial position and favorable industry conditions. At the same time, investors should take into account the risks typical of the small-cap segment, including high sensitivity to the macroeconomic environment and industry changes.

Other investment ideas from Freedom Broker

Earlier, Freedom Broker raised the target price for Karooooo shares to $65, citing the company’s steady business growth, an expanding customer base and strong financial results as key drivers of further growth.

Analysts also drew attention to SK Hynix’s record Nasdaq listing, calling it one of the most significant IPOs of the year for the global technology sector and the semiconductor market.

Freedom Broker analyzed the situation in the semiconductor industry following a Susquehanna report, according to which chip lead times continue to increase. This points to persistently high demand for semiconductor manufacturers’ products and supports long-term growth expectations for the sector.
