- Why does a broker charge fees?
Brokerage companies act as intermediaries between investors and exchanges. They provide technical infrastructure, provide a trading platform, keep record of transactions, provide analytics, and so on.
All of these services require costs from brokers, which are compensated in the form of commissions.
- What do investors pay fees for?
Opening and closing an account with Freedom Broker is always free of charge.
Fees are charged for executed trades, meaning when you buy or sell securities.
The fee amount may vary depending on the market and instrument. It is generally calculated based on the transaction amount and the number of instruments involved in the trade. Fees may also include a fixed amount charged for executing a transaction.
- What types of tariffs are available?
We have developed a range of tariffs to suit different investment styles and levels of experience:
1. “Start” promotional tariff
When opening a brokerage account, individuals are automatically assigned the “Start” promotional tariff. It is valid for 30 days from the date the account is opened and offers favorable terms for a comfortable start.
2. “Investor” standard tariff
The “Investor” tariff is provided by default for all users. It is suitable for most investors: there is no subscription fee, and fees are charged only for executed trades.
3. Subscription tariffs
The company also offers subscription-based tariffs with a monthly subscription fee. They include additional benefits and may be suitable for active investors and traders.
- How do you choose the right tariff?
The choice of tariff depends on your investment style, trading frequency, and level of market activity.
You can view the current terms and available tariffs in the relevant section.
