If you wish to close your brokerage account:
• Make sure that there are no funds or securities in your account, otherwise we will not be able to execute this order.
• Close all active positions in the portfolio and cancel active orders.
Otherwise, we will not be able to execute this order.
How to submit an order?
1. To close an account, log in to the Freedom Broker platform:
• In the mobile app → "Menu" → "Requests" → "Account settings" → "Close account"
• In the website → "Personal Account" → "Requests" → "Close account"
2. Open a security session.
3. Designate the reason for closing the account.
4. Click “Confirm”.
Important! If there are funds in the savings D account, they must be withdrawn in order to close it. If there are no funds in the savings D account, it will be closed automatically along with the trading account.
Note
If there is cash in the account, you can close it with a balance of no more than $50 (or the equivalent in tenge, rubles, or euros, converted at the current exchange rate). To do this, check the box next to the balance debit option; the amount will be debited as a commission.
If the balance is $50 or more, first submit an order to withdraw the balance to a bank account, then submit an order to close the account.
Additional Information
- If you close your trading account, the D savings account will generally be closed automatically, provided that there are no remaining funds in it. If there is a balance in the D account, you must first withdraw the funds and then submit an account closure request.
- If you wish to close only the D account, the trading account will not be closed automatically. To close the trading account, you must submit a separate account closure request.
- To ensure the closure process is completed smoothly, it is recommended to close the trading account first and then the D account. However, there is no mandatory requirement regarding the order in which the closure requests must be submitted.
